ELECTRA KIKK
PERFORMANCE
BodySound Propagation
March 2015
How can one perceive the space through the body and through sound?
How does a building feel when we inhabit it with our flesh, blood and bones?
How does the sound propagate through walls, ceilings and columns?
Can one hear the rythm of the electric current resonating in the cable trays?
Can fire hoses dance?
Is swimming possible in a concrete ceiling?
Kulter Amsterdam invited Anne La Berge (flutist, composer and improviser) and Electra Kikk (dancer and buildings engineer) to explore together the A Lab building -the former Shell laboratories- on the north shores of the IJ in Amsterdam.
